After the exciting events of the evening had passed, Sam had stayed over at Carly's house. The two were lounging close to each other, watching the TV.

Carly was just beginning to doze on her friend's shoulder when Sam spoke. "Hey, Carls?"

The brunette blinked and stretched her neck a little. "Yeah?"

Sam was silent for a moment before talking. "You know how you said…we can tell each other anything?"

Carly's eyes snapped open and she flinched. "Anything," she confirmed, shifting a little closer to Sam and trying to act nonchalant.

The blonde looked down into her friend's eyes. "Well, I have another secret."

Carly shot up and looked at Sam. There was a considerable silence as they both sat there together. The dark haired girl sighed and smirked. "Is it about Freddie?"

Sam rolled her eyes shook her head. "Not this time."

Carly relaxed her shoulders a little. "Well, what's your secret then?"

Sam looked around then scooted closer to her friend. "Okay…Carly, I…I need you."

The petite girl looked confused. "For what?"

Sam groaned. "That sounded stupid, didn't it? You know what, don't worry about it," she said, looking towards the door to the apartment.

Carly grabbed the girl's shoulder and turned her around. "No, Sam. It's okay, you can tell me."

Before she knew it, the blonde girl's lips were on her own. Fireworks seemed to go off in her head and she closed her eyes. Sam's hands reached out to caress Carly's face, and the brunette wrapped her arms around the girl's middle.

When they broke apart, they were both breathing raggedly. Sam's blue eyes glittered in the glow of the television. Carly was amazed at what had just happened. "Sam…you just…"

The blonde looked into the other girl's eyes. "What I meant to say was…I need you more than anything."

Carly gaped for a moment. "Are you saying…you love me?"

Sam chuckled and leaned closer to her. "Baby, that's an understatement…I adore you."

The brunette felt her face getting hot and she turned away, looking at the floor.

Sam gave a rueful smile. "I know. You don't like me that way, do you?"

Carly was shuddering and keeping her head down. The blonde reached over and touched her friend's back worriedly. "Carly…oh, Carly, I'm sorry…"

A laugh escaped from her. Sam could not believe her ears, why was that girl laughing? Typical Carly, you pour your soul out to the girl and she picks that time to have a giggling fit.

The brunette looked up and her brown eyes were brimming with tears. She didn't realize that they must have been from happiness. This was probably why Sam was caught off guard when Carly swiftly pinned her down on the couch. She still had a large grin on her face as she looked down at Sam. "That's a good one, Sam," she leaned down, close to her friend's lips. They were both so close to each other that they could feel their hearts racing at the same speed. Carly touched her forehead to the blonde's and whispered, "And I have a secret for you."

Sam could barely speak, looking into her friend's beautiful eyes and her scent enveloping her. Their shared body heat was driving the girl's horomones wild. "T-tell me," she managed to say, sighing.

Carly straightened and shook her hair out of her face, still looking down at Sam. "When I heard you and Freddie kissed, I was jealous."

Sam looked up at her intently. "Why?"

Carly shrugged her shoulders and smiled. "Because…I wanted your first kiss," she said finally.

Sam gaped for a moment before smiling. "For real?"

"Mmmhmm," Carly leaned back down and kissed Sam on the side of her mouth. "Truth is…I love you, too."

The two shared another kiss on the lips. Sam shifted to rest her head on the armrest so that Carly could lay back comfortably against her.

"And for the record, you're a way better kisser than Fredward."
